Kranjska Gora is the perfect alpine village nestling in the lush green Sava Dolinka Valley which bisects the Karavanke range from the Julian Alps. At 810 metres above sea level, this idyllic village is surrounded and overshadowed by the imposing mountain peaks of Vitranc, Razor and Prisojnik/Prisank. The picturesque Jasna Lake is 1.5km to the west and serves as the entrance to the treasures of Triglav National Park. A chair lift ascends the mountains in the summer season to a surreal world of summits and peaks from where Mt.Triglav stands imperious.

Julian Alps - Full day by bus
A day of spectacular mountain scenery travelling through the Upper Sava Valley to Kranjska Gora and over the Vrsic mountain pass (1,611 m). Descend into the Trenta valley and drive alongside the emerald green Soca River before lunch in the small town of Bovec. After lunch continue to the Predil pass (1,156 m) crossing the border into Italy. The return to Slovenia takes you past the world famous Planica ski jumps.

This underground world was created through the natural work of the river Pivka, and its stalactites and stalagmites make this cave system one of the most beautiful. An electric train will take you into the caves and then a guide will walk you through the most interesting parts. A few kilometres away you will visit one of the most magnificent historic buildings in Slovenia, the Predjama Castle, dating back to the Middle Ages.
