Sail Croatia's beautiful coastlines

Croatia is a paradise for sailing enthusiasts offering some of the most stunning scenery, clearest waters and most interesting itineraries anywhere in Europe.

Working with our sister company, Sail Croatia, we offer sailing holidays that are tailored to individual requirements.

Our core fleet, based in Marina Kastela, near Split, is owned and managed by Sail Croatia, which means that we can respond quickly to customer requests and we can ensure that the yacht maintenance is of the highest standard. The fleet covers a range of Beneteau and Jeanneau yachts from 32ft to 54ft, which are on average less than 18 months old and are equipped to a high specification. We also have a base in Sibernik in Mandalina Marina.

Bareboat charters offer you complete freedom to explore the stunning Adriatic coast. Our local experts will help you plan your itinerary and provide information on the safest anchorage, weather patterns and a list of our favourite restaurants and marina guides. In accordance with Croatian Port Authorities you will need an ICC ticket (or equivalent) and a VHF Radio Licence to charter bareboat.

Whether you're an experienced sailor or new to sailing and want to have someone else take on the responsibility of the day-to-day operation of your yacht, we offer skippered charters. We ensure that we pick the skipper to match your group and you will receive their CV and credentials before your departure. We send them a list of your requirements, so whether you are after a leisurely sail, mile building or a tour of the best restaurants and swimming spots, your skipper will have been briefed and will be ready to plan your sailing route when you arrive. We also offer a fully crewed charter should you require a cook and hostess cabin service.

All itineraries are subject to weather conditions.

Be sure to always take waterproof clothing, deck shoes or trainers, sunhats, sunglasses, sunblock and beach towels.

Lifejackets for children can be supplied and also netting around the yacht upon request.

No food is included in the prices. A shopping list can be submitted prior to departure with the food awaiting your arrival on board. The cost will be payable locally. On skippered charters guests should always include food for the skipper.

We are also able to offer a limited number of gulet charters. Gulets are traditional wooden sailing vessels, although many are now configured with motors, which means you can sail when the wind allows, but go wherever you want reliably with motor power. These boats offer comfortable cabins (mostly with double beds), which include toilet with shower, enough storage room for your belongings, large salon, lots of deck space for sunbathing and outside dining area. The gulets have experienced crew on board, from the Captain to the sailor and cook, and usually cruise for between 3-4 hours per day.

Prices include:  On board final cleaning Outboard engine Linen & standard size towels.

Not included: Crew - cost of Skipper, Chef or Hostess at £950 each per week plus meals (to be booked and paid for before departure) Mooring fees in marinas • Fuel • Tourist Tax of €1 per person per day payable locally • Food and drink.

Compulsory Security Deposit is a refundable deposit paid by cash or credit card prior to embarkation. If there is no damage or loss of equipment this deposit is refunded in full at the end of your sail. The security deposits vary from €1000 to €2500 depending on the yacht, and exact details will be provided at the time of your booking enquiry.

The yachts should be returned with full fuel and water tanks otherwise there will be a charge for the difference plus a service fee of €100.

Booking Deposit: All sailing holidays require a deposit of approximately 20% of the total value of the holiday in addition to the normal Hidden Croatia deposit of £100 per person. Details will be provided at the time of your booking enquiry.

Normal Check-in is at 17.00hrs on Saturday and drop-off is at 08.30hrs on Saturday or 15.00hrs on Friday, depending upon the charter.

A sample itinerary from Split

Saturday Day  1  Split (Marina Kaštela) - Brač (Milna)

Set sail for the Island of Brač only 2 hours from Split, and moor in one of the yachties' most popular stops, the picturesque bay of Milna.

Sunday Day 2 Milna - Vis Island

Get into the swing of life aboard and sail to Vis island, where the silver waters of Stončica bay await an early afternoon swim. Overnight in Vis town.

Monday Day 3 Vis - Komi'a (Vis Island)

Try a ‘Viška Pogača' local pastry for breakfast, and spend the morning among the many beautiful bays of southern Vis. Visit the sparkling Green Caves before mooring in Komi¿a town, once home to the Royal Navy in these waters during the Napoleonic wars.

Tuesday Day 4 Komi'a - Šcedro Island

After a visit to the Blue Cave on Bisevo Island, follow the prevailing breeze to the island of Šcedro and its deep and well-protected central cove for a quiet evening on anchor and a possible visit to the local konoba at the bottom of the bay. Wine lovers should consider a visit to the ‘Plenkovič' wine cellar on Hvar, opposite Šcedro near Zavala Bay.

Wednesday Day 5 Šcedro Island - Hvar Town

Back to civilisation and an unmissable visit to Hvar town. We suggest an afternoon walk up to the ‘Fortica' castle for uninterrupted views of the harbour and nearby Hell's Islands. Sunset drinks at the Riva Bar and dinner in one of Hvar's more sophisticated restaurants are highly recommended.

Thursday Day 6 Hvar Town - Maslinica (Šolta Island)

Sailing towards the lush island of Šolta you will have time for a swim stop in Parja Bay near Cape Pelegrin on Hvar as well as Šešula Bay on Šolta island, before a welcome rest in the village of Maslinica for a relaxed evening drink or dinner.

Friday Day 7 Maslinica - Split

A short day's sailing allows a detour to Krknjasi Bay for an extended swim break and lunch snack on board, before unfurling the sails for the last leg of your journey back to Marina Kaštela.

A sample itinerary - One Way to Dubrovnik

Saturday Day 1 Split (Marina Kaštela) - Maslinica (Šolta Island)

The island of Šolta, only a 2 hour sail from Split, hides the quiet bay of Stomorska, ideal for a sundowner in the beach bar or visit the village of Maslinica on the island's western point for overnight mooring and dinner at the highly regarded Marchi Palace (local cost).

Sunday Day 2 Maslinica (Šolta Island) - Vis Island

Today's leg allows for a substantial sail to Vis. Once a Roman outpost, Vis has always been strategically significant to the Adriatic and only became open to visitors in 1988. Overnight in Vis town offers the opportunity to dine in some of the finest konobas in the area.

Monday Day 3 Vis - Hvar Town

A 3 hour sail to Hell's Islands and a swim break in one of the many secluded coves serves as an appetiser for an afternoon in Hvar town, probably the Adriatic's most fashionable haunt. Dinner and cocktails set to a view over the harbour and its parade of beautiful yachts.

Tuesday Day 4 Hvar Town - Korčula

Due southeast to Šcedro Island for a swim before approaching the fortifications of Korčula Town. An afternoon stroll through the old town is the ideal way to relax after a long day's sailing.

Wednesday Day 5 Korčula - Polače (Mljet)

Maintaining a south easterly course takes you to the lush Island of Mljet, and the stunning waters of Polače bay, one of the most beautiful spots in the area.

Thursday Day 6 Polače (Mljet Island) - Šipan (Elaphiti Islands)

Sailing towards Dubrovnik it would be a sin to miss the Elaphiti Islands with their colourful mixture of architecture and natural beauty. Šipan is our first stop with more churches per capita than anywhere else in the world. Overnight in Šipan harbour, where you might venture a visit to Konoba Marko for a traditional seafood feast.

Friday Day 7 Šipan - Dubrovnik

There is plenty to explore on your last day, with a visit to Koločep where you can explore its beautiful coves by sea kayak or enjoy the landscaped gardens of Lopud island before your final port of call, the ancient walled City of Dubrovnik.
